Fishing equipment and personal effects
Rods, reels and tackle are often treated separately from the boat, sometimes with their own limit. Ask about limits and theft.
Electronics and added equipment
Chartplotters, sonar, trolling motors and shallow-water anchors may be covered as part of the boat or need to be scheduled. Ask how they are valued.
Document what you own
Keep photos, serial numbers and receipts. It helps both your quote and any future claim.
